Goal Setting 2010

Summer is just around the corner. It's time to Kick Spring into High Gear! Thats right, We believe the family that Kicks together Sticks together. We have a variety of programs from 3yrs old to adult. Come in TODAY!

A goal is more than something we would like to achieve. It's so important to us that we are going to assign a date to see it accomplished. We know by giving ourselves a deadline we are more likely to see ourselves both get started on the goal as well as seeing it come true. Since we are committed to the goal and have set a date we are now ready to do what is necessary to reach it.

It's no different than planning to earn that next stripe on our belt. We know what we need to do and we know when we need to be ready for that stripe test. A stripe on the belt would be a short range goal.

A mid range goal could be your next belt. That may take anywhere from three to six months. It's important to stay on track so we need to break a mid range goal into several short term goals. This way the goal doesn't seem out of reach or impossible.

In Martial Arts many students also have long term goals. The most common is that of Black Belt. You want the fitness, confidence, self discipline and all the other benefits of becoming a Black Belt. It is so important yet so long away it is important that we do something very special. That step is to make a public commitment. This would be joining the Black Belt Club where we wear a special patch or uniform as a public statement of what we have planned. This makes us try harder and we also get support from other students so we don't quit or get side tracked.

Your assignment for your Black Belt Excellence stripe is to fill out the form below with at least one short range, one long range, and one long range goal. This will be the start of your new goals.

The act of writing your goals is significant to seeing them come true. Remember-

Goals We Set Are Goals We Get!
